Kimberly Clark is a graduate of Villa Julie college and has been involved in thoroughbred racing for over 25 years. She has been licensed as a trainer, owner and exercise rider. Kim lives on Leighton Farm in Upper Marlboro, Maryland with her husband William Clark, where many Throughbreds are retrained and then transitioned to meaningful lives outside of racing. Kim has been helping fellow trainers and owners place retiring/retired racehorses for the past many years, but began to develop a program to do it in November 2007. Since then it has experienced incredible growth. This placement program created by horsemen for horsemen is extremely successful. The goal being to help as many horsemen and horses as possible. Kimberly is the founder and President of Thoroughbred Placement and Rescue, Inc.

Coming from outside the
Horse Industry, Bernadette provides a fresh perspective and voice to TPR.
She grew up in the ruggedness of upstate New York; spending the majority of her
formative years on her grandparents dairy farm. She was brought to Maryland for
her job and has become and integral part of TPR by doing everything and anything
that needs to be done when a mountain needs to be moved, Bernadette is the one
we call. She currently is under the instruction of Three Star Advanced
Rider, Samantha Allan of Allan-Clover Sport Horses.
Lothian, MD (410) 867-0764 Elizabeth Madlener is a
well-known Grand Prix level trainer, instructor and competitor, a USEF "S" judge
since 1980, USDF "L" faculty member, Dressage Today contributor, and former
President Elizabeth had a love of Thoroughbreds from the earliest age. She has a deep understanding of the breed as illustrated by her success with retired racehorses, Gulliver and Jonathan Swift. Both were selected to trainer with the United States Olympic Team in 1977.
Crownsville, MD (443) 995-2950 Lucy Krone is from a racing family and has worked as an exercise rider for almost 20 years at numerous tracks, but predominantly in Maryland. She rode hunter/jumpers from a young age all the way through college and has been 'galloping' since then! Lucy is now dedicated to helping TPR with as the Laurel Park Coordinator. She gathers info and photos of the horses who are looking for new careers, and assists trainers and owners with the horse's placement. Lucy enjoys watching these horses bloom in new careers and is constantly amazed at their versatility. She currently owns 2 racehorses and 2 miniature horses that she rescued as a result of her work with Thoroughbred Placement and Rescue!!
Baltimore, MD (410) 539-5505 Ted has been practicing in Maryland since graduating from University of Baltimore in 1996. He operated his own law practice in Baltimore - Law Offices of Edward J. Maher, P.C. - since 1999. He mainly represents property management companies, apartments, and other landlords. Ted is also a licensed Thoroughbred Trainer and Owner based at Bowie Training Center in Bowie, Maryland. He is a lifelong Maryland resident and has lived in Baltimore since 1994.
