A horse who have given everything deserves a care free retirement.
No matter the task, Punkie came through. He was a racehorse with not much talent, but he tried his best every single time. He taught people to ride and to gallop racehorses. He was the company for weaning babies, the companion for bad shippers and rock solid in the race paddock with a nervous horse. He was the pony to break baby racehorses for many years and he was excellent. He then went on to the transitioning of retiring racehorses to new careers. He gave them a sense of calm which helped them to relax. Punkie is still the ambassador for TPR and the value of Thoroughbreds. Even more than that, he illustrates the reliability and enjoyment you get from an older horse.
Punkie is now 31 years old and about to turn 32. If you visit Leighton Farm, you can meet him yourself and even if you’ve never touched a horse, Punkie will take very good care of you.
Donate and help cover the cost of Punkie’s care. This will enable us to take care of even more horses. Punkie will like that!
We need you. They need you.
