Hard work raced 24 times and made just around $42,000. He retired from racing and was sent to Thoroughbred Placement Resources at the end of May 2019. There he was rested, let down and started for his current owner who had a dream to return to horse ownership since her childhood. It was now time to make it come true. Like many dreams there were some hiccups. Huck who is very sweet, is just too much horse for her. He wants a job and she wants to leisurely stroll through the woods. Huck is lucky because his owner is able to see that he needs a different life and that is why he’s being offered for adoption.
Huck is 16. 1 hands and 5 years old. He was sent to Lesilie Lamb for more training in the hope that he would become more of a pleasure riding horse. While he progressed nicely, he just isn’t a dead head. He doesn’t do anything wrong like buck, rear or the like but he also isn’t dead quiet which is what his owner is looking for. Huck has the foundation to progress in training, a good brain, smart, and loves to be loved. He’s gregarious , likes to learn and have a job. Huck is barefoot so he has good feet. He does have a small old bow on the left front. He is easy to handle and sound although he does have osselets on both ankles. Huck is a lovely mover and athletic, fancy with nice confirmation. He cross ties, trailers, lunges, bathes and clips and is good for farrier. Mild windsucking only vice.
