Lady Chace – Found a Home February 2019

Let me begin by stating that Lady Chace is not available for breeding. She has spent the last 8 years of her life as a broodmare and now it’s time for her to have a new purpose in life.

Lady earned a bit of $250,000 in only 19 starts. She Graded Stakes placed. After her race career ended, she was sent to the breeding shed.

Her connections have lovingly made the decision to retire her from breeding because she is extremely difficult to keep in foal. She did have a few babies, in fact one of them is available for adoption here at Leighton Farm. His name is Ya and he was her last foal.

Lady is 16.3 hands with a solid build and she has a kind and agreeable temperament. She gets along with everyone she has been turned out with. She came to Leighton Farm last fall. I’ve not had a lot of time to work with her but she has learned to longe and a volunteer has been driving her and doing round pen work. Lady is 13 years old. She could be a good riding horse with time and training. I’ve been on her a couple times and plan to put her into regular training once I move a horse on that’s in full training here. I only have time to ride so many and they keep coming!

I am offering her for $1,500 to a great home and I would like to state again that she is not available for breeding. Lady is located at Leighton Farm in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
