Ya – Found a home September 2018

Ya is a 16.2 hand 5 year old Thoroughbred gelding. He ran only 13 times and retired sound from racing because he demonstrated he was not going to be a top racehorse. His owner consistently retires them rather than dropping them in to be claimed. He also bred this beautiful boy.

He has been with TPR since September 2017. He entered formal training in January and has demonstrated incredible potential as a riding horse. He is currently being ridden 5-6 times per week in the arena and hacking quietly around the farm. He never puts a hoof wrong. He has no vices, is wonderful to work with on the ground and is phenomenal to ride.

He has great potential as a dressage or even a jumping horse – later on down the line once he has the proper foundation and physical development. I do not believe in rushing horses and wish more people would focus on giving horses off the track the fundamentals needed to thrive in their new endeavors, whatever direction their humans decide to take them.

I am offering him for $2,500 to a great home where he will be loved and adored the way he is here by all. He is located at Leighton Farm in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
